2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: precise GPS location when the app is in use. During a trip, we collect continuous location data from both rider and driver to provide navigation, safety, and estimated arrival times.
• Trip Data: pickup and drop-off locations, route taken, trip duration, distance, and fare information.
• Device Information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and mobile network information.
• Usage Data: how you interact with the app, features used, and in-app actions.

• Provide, operate, and improve the CarZoum Service
• Match riders with available drivers
• Process payments and send trip receipts
• Enable real-time navigation and trip tracking

CarZoum does not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Between Riders and Drivers: When a ride is matched, the driver receives your first name and pickup location. The rider receives the driver's name, photo, vehicle description, and real-time location. Full contact details are not permanently shared.
• Payment Processors: We share payment data with PCI-compliant third-party processors solely to complete transactions.
• Service Providers: We work with trusted vendors (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools) who access data only as needed to provide services on our behalf, and are bound by data protection agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety and rights of CarZoum, its users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Location Data

Location data is central to the CarZoum experience. Specifically:

• During a Trip: We collect precise, continuous GPS data from both rider and driver for navigation, safety monitoring, and fare calculation.
• App Open / Idle: We collect approximate location to show nearby available cars. You can disable background location access in your device settings, though this may affect app functionality.
• After a Trip: Trip route data is retained as described in Section 6. We do not track your location in real time outside of active service use.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Specifically:

• Trip history is retained for a minimum of 3 years for safety, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
• Account information is retained until you request deletion.
• Financial transaction records are retained as required by applicable law.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Certain data may be retained as required by law even after account deletion.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
